Mango Pineapple Smoothie

Ingredients & Substitutions

This smoothie recipe only requires 6 simple ingredients (two are even optional!) It's is banana-free and super versatile.

Here is everything you need.

Ingredient Notes

  • Fruit – I use a combination of mango and pineapple. Make sure that your fruit is completely frozen so that your smoothie has the right consistency.
  • Non-Dairy Milk– Feel free to use your favorite non-dairy milk of choice. You can also use coconut water if you prefer.
  • Superfood Add-ins (optional) – You can add a variety of superfoods for a healthy boost. A few of my favorites are hemp hearts, maca powder, ashwagandha powder, and cayenne pepper. These all have incredible benefits for your mood, energy, heart, and overall health.

Step-By-Step Instructions

Smoothie are super simple to make! The key to a good smoothie is keeping the consistency thick, creamy, and cold.

Blend the ingredients together in a blender until you have a thick, creamy consistency. If it is too thick, feel free to add more non-dairy milk. Alternatively, if it feels too thin, add a few extra pieces of frozen mango. Taste and adjust the spices and maple syrup.

Pro Tip: Make sure that you are using frozen fruit at the base of your vegan smoothies. Frozen fruit provides thick, ice cream-like consistency. When smoothies aren’t properly chilled, the texture can get thick and slimy.

Serving And Storing

Serving – Serve your smoothies immediately! Serve with extra pieces of mango, pineapple, or hemp hearts sprinkled over the top.

Storing – Do you have any leftover smoothie? Freeze it in popsicle molds for a healthy midday snack.

Tips And Tricks

  1. Make sure your fruit is completely frozen to ensure the right ice cream-like consistency.
  2. Don't like pineapple? Try swapping it out for frozen banana instead
  3. Blend your ingredients until they are completely smooth. If your smoothie is too thick, add additional non-dairy milk, 2 tablespoons at a time, until you have a pourable consistency.
  4. Enjoy your smoothie immediately! As smoothies sit out at room temperature, they become thick and slimy.
