On Wednesday we kicked off our Valentine’s Day celebrations with my Penne Pasta with Vodka Cream Sauce. Today we are continue the celebration of love with this vegan Chocolate Raspberry Martini. So who’s ready to get this weekend started off with a little booze and a lot of love?
I know I am!
2016 was a year that taught me significant lessons about love, hope, and endurance. After the painful divorce I went through in 2015, I became deeply aware and grateful for the people in my life who show me love every day. There was never a time (unless I chose to be) that I was alone as I grieved the loss of my marriage. And now, nearly 2 years later, I am a healthier, more authentic version of myself, surrounded my the most unconditional love I have ever experienced.
And while I never want to take the love I have received for granted, the truth of it is, I sometime do. For that reason I am appreciative of the holidays that remind us of the importance of relationships, commitment, trust, and forgiveness and all the many other ways that love can be given. And so this Valentine’s Day I want to say a special thanks to my friends and family who have helped me heal through their love.
So let’s raise a glass to love and gratitude!
This vegan chocolate raspberry martini is just what you want for that. Combining the sweet and tart flavors of raspberry with rich chocolate for a sweet, creamy, and decadent Valentine’s Day drink.
- 4 ounces vodka
- 2 ounces chocolate liqueur
- 1 ounces raspberry liqueur
- 4 ounces unsweetened vegan creamer
- fresh raspberries
- chocolate shavings
- cocoa powder
Combine vodka, chocolate and raspberry liqueurs, and vegan creamer in a shaker with an ice cube. Shake to combine and pour into 2 chilled martini glasses.
Top with fresh raspberries and chocolate shavings.
